Fond Ferdinand

Seychelles’ stronghold of the Endangered coco de mer nut and the first area purchased to preserve the iconic palm in 1894, Fond Ferdinand is a captivating sanctuary of natural and cultural significance. Nestled in the southwest of Praslin Island, the 48-hectare ecological reserve can be explored through various paths of varying difficulty to reach the famous viewpoint. The panorama from this vantage point is nothing short of breathtaking, offering an incredible view of Praslin itself and the surrounding inner islands of the Seychelles, including Mahé, La Digue, Curieuse, Coco Island, Round Island, Felicité, and St Pierre.
